About the field
Cosmetic dentistry deals with how your teeth look — the colour, shape and proportions of the teeth and how much of them shows when you smile. It is not only about the teeth: we also take into account the gums, the lips and the overall expression of the face.
It is not, however, a separate discipline cut off from the rest. A cosmetic procedure only makes sense on a healthy foundation: treated teeth and calm gums.
That is why cosmetic treatment with us always begins with an assessment of your teeth. Whitening a tooth with decay or bonding a veneer onto inflamed gums makes no sense — the result will not last.
The aim is not a transformation but enhancement. A natural, balanced result in which you still recognise yourself.
The solutions we choose from
A set of procedures that improve your smile safely and without unnecessary intervention in healthy tissue.

Teeth whitening
Lightening your own enamel — at home with custom-made trays or in the surgery. Before whitening, we always check that your teeth are healthy.
Veneers
Thin ceramic shells on the front surface of the tooth. They correct shape, colour and minor misalignment, and only a little of the tooth needs to be ground down — sometimes none at all.
Crowns
Where a tooth is extensively damaged or has changed markedly in shape and colour. A crown restores its strength and fits naturally between the neighbouring teeth.
Replacing old fillings
We replace darkened or leaking fillings in the front teeth with tooth-coloured composite.
What cosmetic treatment offers
Harmony between smile and face
Teeth, gums, lips and expression work together. Your smile then does not look like a separate feature but like part of your face.
A natural result
We plan according to the proportions of your face and the way you look. The aim is not to transform but to enhance.
Gentle procedures
Most procedures are minimally invasive: less discomfort, shorter healing and your own tissue preserved.
Health comes first
Aesthetics rest on healthy teeth. Without treated teeth and calm gums, the result will not last — and we will not undertake it.
A tailored plan
Every plan is based on the examination, your wishes and what is realistic in your particular case.
Confidence in conversation
When you do not have to watch how you smile, it shows in the way you carry yourself more than in your teeth.
The technology we rely on
Technology makes treatment predictable. We use tools that allow us to plan the result precisely and show it to you in advance.

2D and 3D smile analysis
An analysis of the proportions of the face and smile in two and three dimensions. It shows what is really disturbing the harmony.

Clinical photography
Photographs taken under consistent conditions. They are used for planning and to make the before and after comparison fair.

Simulation of the result
You can see what your smile will look like before anything is ground down. It is easier to agree on expectations with a picture in front of you than after the procedure.
This makes treatment more precise, and you know what to expect.
How we work
Finding the cause
First we find out why a tooth has darkened or changed shape. Without that, the treatment would only cover up the problem.
Design and agreement
We show you what can be achieved and agree on the scope. Promising more than is possible does not pay off for either side.
Gentle execution
We choose the approach that removes as little healthy tissue as possible. A tooth that has not been worked on lasts the longest.

Frequently asked questions
Does whitening damage the enamel?
Not when the treatment is carried out correctly. The whitening gel acts on the pigment in the enamel, not on its structure. Short-term sensitivity after the procedure is common and wears off.
How long does whitening last?
Usually one to two years. Coffee, tea, red wine and smoking shorten it; regular oral hygiene extends it.
Are crowns and fillings whitened too?
No. The whitening gel only works on your natural enamel. If you have a crown or filling in the front teeth, it may start to stand out once the surrounding teeth have been whitened — you should expect it to be replaced.
Do the results look natural?
That is the main criterion. We plan according to the proportions of your face and your own teeth. The aim is not a striking change but a result that people around you will not recognise as a dentist’s work.
Does cosmetic treatment replace routine dental care?
No. Healthy teeth are always the foundation. Cosmetic dentistry builds on routine care; it does not replace it.
Does it hurt?
Most procedures are minimally invasive and well tolerated. Where necessary, we treat under local anaesthetic.
Can several procedures be combined?
Yes, and this often gives a better result than a single procedure on its own. We will propose the order and scope based on the findings.
