Vyšetření pacienta v MALO CLINIC Prague

Initial examination

The first check-up after a patient registers at the clinic, including a comprehensive examination of the teeth, proposed solutions to any problems, etc.

The initial examination is the first meeting between the patient and the dentist. It includes a detailed examination of the mouth and teeth so that the dentist has a complete overview of their current condition and can propose a solution to any problems if necessary.

The initial examination includes

  • A comprehensive examination of the soft tissues of the mouth and of the teeth
  • An X-ray examination with a detailed description of the findings

This includes

  • a panoramic X-ray giving an overview of the conditions in the mouth and showing all the teeth
  • bitewing X-rays of the back teeth to detect decay between the teeth
  • If necessary, a tomographic examination using CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) can be carried out
  • With DiagnoCam (a camera that transilluminates the tooth, revealing even incipient decay) and an intraoral camera (IO), we can show you any decay we find on the monitor straight away.

If problems are found, a treatment plan is drawn up; if there are no problems, the patient is booked in for the next preventive check-up. Of course, the patient is also advised on how to look after their teeth and, if appropriate, dental hygiene is recommended.
