Painless treatment at the dentist is now standard practice.
Most people associate a visit to the dentist with pain and therefore put it off. That is not the case at our dental care centre. We try to minimise stress and pain and to make your examination as pleasant as possible. At our surgery, you do not have to suffer!
We have several options for relieving the pain and nervousness associated with dental treatment.
Most often we use local anaesthetic, which numbs the tooth. Numbness is achieved by an injection close to the treated area. The size of the treated area determines the number of injections, which are not painful but may be unpleasant. The anaesthetic stops the pain signals from reaching the brain. No preparation is needed before local anaesthetic is given.
The last option is an inhaled analgesic. It takes effect immediately and relieves pain completely. It also reduces anxiety and makes the procedure easier to cope with.
