Microscopic endodontics

Diagnosis and subsequent treatment of the tooth and root canals with a microscope, which gives a clear view of the treatment area and allows the procedure to be carried out more precisely and to a higher standard.

Microscopic endodontics uses a microscope to treat teeth. It gives a clear view of the operating field and helps to treat even defects that are not visible to the naked eye, for example in root canal treatment. A procedure carried out to a high standard gives the tooth the best chance of being saved.

Thanks to the microscope, it is possible to remove unsatisfactory root fillings or a broken fragment of an instrument very precisely and thoroughly, to determine whether the tooth is fractured, and so on.

The microscope helps right from the diagnosis, in assessing the anatomy of the tooth to be treated. The root canal system is unique in every tooth.

A procedure carried out with a microscope is more precise, takes less time and has a higher success rate, fewer post-operative symptoms (swelling, pain) and a lower risk of complications. It is therefore good if your dentist’s surgery has a microscope.
