Treatment of the “inside” of the tooth, that is, the dental pulp and the root canals.
Endodontics specialises in treating problems affecting the inside of the tooth, that is, the dental pulp and canals. The aim of endodontic treatment is to save the affected tooth so that, after treatment, it can still do its job and does not cause you any discomfort or pain.
At our modern dental centre, thanks to the latest diagnostic methods, including 3D diagnostics, we can identify and map the problem precisely and propose the best solution for you. Our aim is to preserve your tooth for as long as possible.
The treatment consists of several steps, and of course a local anaesthetic is given if you wish, so that you do not feel any pain that may be associated with the treatment. First, it is necessary to gain access to the pulp chamber and remove all the dental pulp from all the canals of the affected tooth. This is followed by thorough cleaning and shaping of the root canals, with extreme precision to tenths of a millimetre, using both mechanical and chemical methods. The aim is to remove all the diseased tissue without going beyond the root tip. Finally, the canals are filled with a root filling (we offer several options), which seals the inside of the tooth and ensures its strength.
